Seminars If you are newlyweds, married awhile or are working on your plans for your wedding day then this interactive seminar is for you. There are many voices that you have heard in the past that have shaped your understanding of what marriage is like. You have seen your parents and you have seen movies depicting marriage. Maybe you have read books on "What makes a good marriage." Sometimes a couple is so "in love" that there is no concern for the future. But, there is another point of view that you may not have considered. What does God think of your marriage? In fact, why did He create marriage? Is your marriage important to God? You are invited to join in the discussion on "Marriage in Christ." Topics that we will explore together are: "Marriage, Two's company and Three's a crowd" -- a discussion on the relationship between a husband and wife and God. "The Do Over" -- a conversation about forgiveness, what to do when the argument, and being right just isn't helping. "Money" -- let's talk about how to make it work for us instead of enslave us. "Love, Life and the Spirit" -- the joy in an everyday marriage, and goals, plans and dreams, what are yours? Each one of these conversations will take place on Sundays from 5 PM until about 6 PM, at Agora on the northwest corner of Memorial and 51st street in Tulsa in the Fontana Shopping Center. In the center of these shops and restaurants is a fountain and our meeting place is nearby -- Look for the Agora coffee shop just north east of the fountain. And for those attending this complementary four-week interactive seminar who are getting married, you will receive a certificate that will reduce the cost of your marriage license from $50 to $5. A little bit about the facilitators: Marriage in Christ was formed by Bill and Cindy Rueb who have been a large part of the wedding industry since 2002. They administrate Wedding Decisions.com, and are proprietors of Broken Arrow Bridal, Prom and Tuxedo and other businesses connected to the wedding industry. Bill has been an ordained minister since 1981 and is currently pastor of Calvary Fellowship Tulsa. Bill and Cindy have been married since 1974 and have taught numerous marriage seminars. Most years of their marriage has been spent in various leadership roles in different fellowships. |
